Copped Hall Tours - 3rd Sunday of the Month (except December)
Copped Hall is a large local Georgian mansion with extensive grounds and gardens. The site has historical connections back to Henry VIII. The building and grounds were once completely derelict but thanks to the Copped Hall Trust, the restoration is now a great success story. Although there is still much to be done, the site and building have been transformed in recent years and there is lots to see.

Tours take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month, excepting December and there are fascinating stories to hear. Entry fees are £8 per adult. Tours last about 2.5 to 3 hours with a 25 min tea break in between. If enough people want to go on a specific date then private tours can be arranged. Entry is from 10 am till 11 am. Site closes about 3 o'clock. For more information, click here to see the website: www.coppedhalltrust.org.uk

Copped Hall is reached off the Epping New Road that runs from Highams Park through the forest toward Epping. Its postal address is Crown Hill, Epping, Cm16 5HS but beware using a sat nav as it may take you to the wrong entrance (the site has more than one). There are good directions on the website listed above.
