Following the planned closure of the Forum at the end of 2019 this website is now mothballed. It will not be updated further but remains as an interesting archive and can be browsed as normal. All Forum functions have transferred to the Highams Park Planning Group. Click here for details

The playground in The Highams Park (beside the Lake)

The Forum have been pressing the Waltham Forest Council for some time to deal with the regular flooding of the playground whenever there is a downpour. Not only have they solved the problem of flooding, they have improved the quality of the play equipment. The playground is now so good that it is even attracting children from neighbouring Redbridge!
